half a cup of microwaved frozen peas
quarter of a tsp of ‘Geo Organics’ Atlantic sea salt crystals
Half-way through the meal:
2 Amoxicillin 500mg
1 Metronidazole
1 gala apple

Green Vegan Bowl from Joe and the Juice. Ingredients: Avocado, Kale, Vegan Pesto, Spinach, Pickled Red Onion, Edamame, Broccoli, Lemon, Pumpkin Seeds, Cranberry
I did’nt know that broccoli and Kale are typically served raw! Edamame was about quarter of a cup which is okay I guess. Cranberry was good, but I bet it’s the infused type. I enjoyed it. Not fulfilled though, I certainly feel like I need more warm things like a grain of some sort. I’m not sure how people can just have salad as a main meal. Grains are a tricky food group to include on the go. They cant be bought in their raw form from anywhere sadly.

Brown rice is about half a cup. Checked the ingredient list a few hours later now, it’s full of stuff, let’s leave it at that. I had diarhea a few hours later, not sure if it’s a cause, a signal from the stomach to get things hour fast.

Too good! I ate a bit fast, guilty again. The bulgur is cooked just the right way - it’s probably because i used the water from the chickpeas + the other stuff we added helped. The water happened to be just right, slightly above the dry bulgur, and within 15 min. of simirring (after the boil, which happened quickly!) it was done and almost dry. I mixed it and served. A shame i ate it too fast.

a quick re cap. The really bad gas started after Auntie’s visit. Coincidence? The bad gas seems to be disappearing now. Meditation? Probably, that’s what the lanzoprazole does, proton inhibitor, reduces acid in the stomach. And spicy food, or food with too many spices stimulate more stomach acid? Not sure yet, but it fits with aunty’s food. Similarly these past two days. My symptoms seem to elevate when I have something that doesn’t fit the recommended level of ingredient ‘purity’. On Saturday it was after the matcha, today it was after the salad and the itsu stuff. Coincidence? Other causes would be psychological, but that’s not the aim of this diary. This diary is to mark and analyse how my food intake is influencing my energy, mood, focus though points in time.
