Transcend

FD

Training to transcend beyond the human experience. Neutrality. And that is beyond the senses? The common senses? Whatever they might be , we

To transcend beyond the human experience in my mind is to get beyond the primal instincts we often get, not to annul them permanently, that’s suppressing, but the ability to bypass them momentarily. A moment without sensory perceptions or feelings - is that humanly possible? Probably not, but certainly attainable from an illusory state that does have an impact

To slow everything down around and see.

That’s what the daily 10 minutes in the morning really is, and sometimes during snips during the day, during eating time. These are times to notice, the senses from a neutral distance. Like watching a play or show in a headless format without emotionally interacting with it. Judgment,

An obvious realisation that we keep forgetting:

This might sound obvious, but it’s the realisation that anything that happens to me is really happening to all of us and the other way around. A hell of a realisation for those of us who never really took the time to absorb this and truly act on what it means. how do we keep rememebring this, why do we always forget it.

Those of us who manage to transcend the human experience, are the ones who capture an essence they themselves don’t fully understand- and therefore are the bridge or the link between the ambiguous source and the art work produced. We forget the ambiguity and mystery of existence. art isn’t meant to only represent cultural issues and provoke them but they’re meant to arguably address the bigger picture that society and civilisations always throughout history have managed to give an answer to their people, why do we exist . And that is, as old as this question is, it was relevant throughout history and is as relevant and as ambiguous now as it ever has been! And as far as we know, art is the only medium that can give us a taste of what that answer is without really giving it. Science is great at answering questions, but we all know it’s an interesting never ending set of questions that start when they end. What are we so sure of then? Absolutely nothing, the feeling or the glimpse of feeling we get from art fades and changes every time we consume it

Arguably, that’s what cultural issues are?

Each of us, do these little pieces of art, as little as they are, they mean and aid one’s own little formation of existence and that’s why small acts of a child scribilling is important to that child’s development
