The multiple ways of approaching an interaction typically submerge and surface primary through one homogeneous sound. A good approach is often progressive yet subtle in transitions that may or may not reflect the multiple ways of approaching the interaction. In the background, lies different interactions that influence the main primarily visible one

Hunger creates delivery. And clearly reward reinforces another and perhaps an improved delivery. To see hunger in the opposite interaction, can and probably should be used as a silent approach to add in the backpack. To see my hunger as part of the same interaction is and probably should be used as another silent approach. In a good interaction, both of these approaches might not be silent.

The complexity of layers of approaches isn’t necessarily a good one. Or a necessary one. But in most cases, complexity is there as part of a complex and imperfect human system.
