Dicipline deliverables

FD

Are most forms of art similar in their dilivery? Is the comparison between them something worth exploring, or they very separate? A plate of food has both a functional and an aesthetic value to it - a piece of architecture is the same, a piece of art, a sculpture, a painting, a story, a song, less so? Perhaps there is a function, the dominance of the function is dependant on the viewer, it is’nt as visible or experienced in the same way between people. The function of. painting then is to poke and provoke stimuli. Can we say that everything has a function. Probably. To say that adding some processed sugar full of voided calories to a piece of brocolli makes it more interesting, is in a way similar to adding an tubular element to the exterior part of a building to make it more interesting, although that’s another function in itself, which is an interesting thought. Pretending that it’s not, that tubular element is an extra cost of labour and a piece of earth that’s been processed to give an interesting function rather than a needed function. similarly, a story captured to provoke a particular human emotion might have some side stories provoking side emotions to enhance the main plot. Harmful in any way?

Offsetting responsibilities

To think of the delivery of stimulus from different forms of art as complementary and potentially effecting one another. Shall I turn it me off, and focus on another. Is one over taking the other one. We know this intuitively. But for me, I certainly never paid attention on how they structure my week. To live day by day is I guess the way we intuitively live. To to think of a week as a structure to model. Or even to think of a day. Is my meal to dompaneginic. Is
